Snow and Ice

When adverse weather conditions are being experienced, that is when ice and snow are on the ground, all children and adults who come on to the school site are requested to only use the treated footways. We would also strongly advise parents not to use our car park, particularly at the beginning of the school day.

If you do not bring your child to school, please could you make your child aware of this instruction.

Your continued support in keeping our school site safe is very much appreciated.

School Closure

In the unlikely event that we are required to close the school due to extreme weather conditions or an emergency situation, parents will be informed by the following means of communication:

  • Through our Twitter pages
  • Through the school's Text Messaging Service
  • On the school website
  • Via local radio: BBC Radio Lincolnshire and Lincs FM

We will always endeavor to notify parents at the earliest opportunity to enable them to make alternative childcare arrangements if necessary.

Diary Dates

Please visit the Calendar page for forthcoming diary dates.

Children in Y5 Oak (Teacher:  Mr Da Costa) and Y4 Silver Birch (Teacher:  Miss Knight) will begin swimming sessions on Tuesday 12th September 2017. Their final session will be on Tuesday 6th February 2018.

Children should bring swimming kit, including a swimming hat and £2.00 voluntary contribution to school every Tuesday. It is the Leisure Centre policy that all children must wear swim hats. Swim hats can be purchased from the school office, price £1.00.

Requests for absence from school during term time

The Government Regulations changed in September 2013 which meant that educational establishments could no longer authorise absence for holidays.  However, you can request an absence for exceptional circumstances.

If you do need to make a request to take your child out of school during term time for exceptional circumstances, please collect the relevant form from the school office.  Once received, a decision will be made at the earliest opportunity and you will be notified of the outcome in writing by our Attendance and Healthcare Officer.

Newsletters are produced each term and can be downloaded from this website.   All children will bring home one copy of the Newsletter and we will also put a copy on the website. If you would like to see anything different in the newsletters, please let us know.
