School Clubs

It gives us great pleasure to inform you that we will be working in partnership with the Gainsborough Trinity Foundation for our sporting provision this year. In addition to this, they will be running our after school clubs and these will be held on the playing fields at Rose’s.

 

This term we are pleased to confirm that the following after-school activities will be available to children at Mercer’s Wood Academy: 
 

Badminton Club - every Monday from 20th September until 11th October.  Sessions will be held with Mr Da Costa in the school hall.

 

Cross Country Club - every Monday from 20th September until 11th October.  Sessions will be held with Mrs Fotheringham in the school playground.

 

Prodigy Maths - every Monday from 20th September until 11th October.  Sessions will be held by Mr Coleman in Mole Classroom.

 

Rise and Shine Active Club  - every Tuesday morning 8.00 am to 8.30 am.  Sessions will be held by Miss Ryan from 21st September until 12th October in the school hall.

 

Reading Club - every Tuesday morning from 8.00 am to 8.30 am from 21st September to 12th October in the library with Mrs Townsend.

 

Yoga Club - every Tuesday from 21st September until 12th October. Sessions will be held in Otter Classroom with Miss Philips.

 

First Aid Club - every Thursday from 23rd September until 14th October.  Sessions will be held in the Community room by Miss Ryan.

 

Dungeons & Dragons Club - every Thursday from 23rd September until 14th October.  Sessions will be held by Mr Ola in the Leadership Office.

 

Dance Club - every Thursday from 23rd September until 14th October.  Sessions will be held by Miss Musson in the school hall.

 

Football Club - sessions will be run every Thursday from 23rd September until 14th October by Gainsborough Trinity Foundation on Roses Sports Ground from 3.15 pm to 4.30 pm.

 

Children attending Football Club will need to be collected from the playing field at Rose’s at 4.30 pm prompt

 

Children will need their full PE kit and a water bottle and a coat. If your child requires an inhaler, please ensure that they bring this from home – this must be in a sealed bag which is then kept within their PE bag.
