Teachers starting their careers after 1st September 2021 are now known as an Early Career Teacher or ECT.  ECT’s now serve an extended induction over 2 school years, during this time they are entitled to a 2-year training program based on the Early Career Framework and the support of a dedicated mentor.

Tall Oaks Academy Trust is dedicated and will support you every step of the way, your dedicated mentor will meet with you on a regular basis to discuss progress, any areas you are finding challenging, support and also time for CPD.

The Early Career Framework has been developed to provide resources on the four core areas:

  •         Behaviour Management
  •         Pedagogy
  •         Curriculum
  •         Assessment and Professional Behaviors.

Most questions posed by ECT’s are answered in the DfE Statutory Guidance document below and this should be your primary point of information.  If you have any questions you can also contact us using the online form on the contact us page, by telephone or email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
